Schwarz Design is highly regarded for its fine detailing, intelligent design principals and collaborative approach. The design philosophy is distinguished by an appreciation for balance, function and a contemporary aesthetic. Schwarz design, boasts extensive professional experience of both commercial and residential projects.

Our residential projects include, high rise apartments, coastal retreats, residences at sea, restoring and renovating heritage and character buildings, luxury residential developments and bespoke residences. Our commercial projects include dental practices, office renovations, lodges and launch fit outs.

The studio works with likeminded architects, landscape designers, builders and artisans, towards a shared vision, ensuring seamless and cohesive design.

Our studio, part of a creative shared space within Kensal, a flower shop, located in Kingsland, Auckland.

Schwarz Design is committed to supporting New Zealand artisans. Where possible we endeavour to source and create bespoke locally crafted furniture, cabinetry and soft furnishings, with careful consideration of our carbon footprint at all times. Our design decisions are guided by sustainability practices with a focus on reduced waste, minimal plastic, incorporating vintage and retro design pieces and beautifully-restored furniture.
