Overlooking the green valley out to the sea on the ridges of Remuera sits an iconic Remuera Mansion initially built and designed by Schwarz Design and Helena Architects 20 years ago. Schwarz Design has since had the pleasure of renovating our original design elevating the space for a new family.
This project, which is close to our hearts and now has a new lease of life is a beautiful study in sale, texture and light play. A simple monochrome pallet combined with natural timber elevates this family home, enhancing its simplicity and vast ceilings. Light and shadow are a prodominate feature dancing around the home complementing the tonality of the project. Large slabs of marble are used throghout the kitchen, bathrooms and fireplaces emphasising the grand scale of the home while offering texture and pattern.
